HSC ayuda "Elevar" Archer Western a Nuevas Alturas
A
new era in the bridge construction business began in 2007 when
Archer Western Contractors launched the road-widening project on
Interstate 85 South of Atlanta, Ga. Archer Western has constructed
bridges throughout the United States including the new bridge and
runway at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. This new project
would take them into the arena of not only building new bridges but
raising & repairing them as well.
When Josh Blythe, Project Manager for this job began looking for a
suitable cylinder that would accommodate his needs he contacted
several Enerpac distributors including Hydraulic Supply Company.
Joel Seehafer, Sale Representative for HSC, met with Josh & other
Engineers to review their request for quote and learn more about
their needs. Within a matter of a few days HSC, along with Ed & Mike
Nudd from Enerpac were ready to present a package solution to help
Archer Western achieve the monumental task of raising 11 bridges
along one of the busiest sections of interstate in Georgia.
The entire package that included 8 pumps & 48 – 100 Ton Cylinders
was then sent to Enerpac’s Integrated Solutions division where
Engineer’s Pete Crisci & Corey Reyonlds went to work. The complete
layout of the system was drawn out per the bridge drawings provided
and a large part of system was actually assembled prior to delivery
at the jobsite. HSC also worked hand in hand with Enerpac at the
job-site assisting with initial set up and installation of all the
equipment required. The day of the first ever bridge lift Archer
Western attempted was a huge success! The first bridge was lifted 19
inches from its original position, new foundations installed, and
all the roadwork completed within 7 days. The Enerpac equipment
performed flawlessly as did the massive team from Archer Western.
Congratulations to all involved!!
