Hydraulic Supply Company enjoyed having Senior Eaton Management
visit our Corporate Offices in Sunrise, Florida . Present from Eaton
were William R. VanArsdale (President, Eaton Hydraulics), Scott A.
Krueger (VP, Americas), Paul W. David (Sales Director, Americas),
and Michael Waite (Regional Manager). The primary purpose of the
visit was to continue to strengthen the ties of a relationship
established back in 1947. And though the players have changed some,
the bond and the mutual goals have NEVER been stronger. You know all
companies struggle with and strive for the same elements to make
their company successful, that element is PEOPLE. During the hour
long presentation about where HSC came from and is heading towards,
each of Eaton's Senior Management sought out answers about keeping
and finding good, qualified team members. HSC with approximately 210
team members easily has over 35% of them with no less than 5 years
tenure. Scott Krueger asked what the secret was and how does HSC
manage to instill the values so prevalent in Corporate to
extremities as far as was Augusta Ga or Atlanta. Our President, Luis
Abellon was quick to answer, "you lead by example, we're all working
managers here and we have a GREAT company".
During the visit Eaton's Management was
given a tour of the Distribution, it was there that the competitive
nature of Bill and Scott really came to light by means of a weight
scale. Apparently there is a "friendly" wager between those two.
This link below may give clues as to which one is winning the bet.
Following the HSC Distribution tour
we headed to our recently relocated and reset, Pompano Express
Facility. There Eaton's Management was able to see first hand why we
WIN in every market we ENTER.
Enjoy the slide show.
