You can participate in most of our plans/programs on the first of the month after a 90 day waiting period.
This is only a summary of the benefits we offer to our Team Members. When someone joins the Aero/IGS/HSC family, they receive detailed information about eligibility, enrollment, and other important information in a special new hire packet.
Medical
The Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance group offers the Blue Options plan for you and your dependents which can be used in or out of network and includes a prescription plan.
Dental
You have the option of the HMO product with Blue Cross/Blue Shield or the PPO Indemnity product with CompDent. The HMO offers discounted dental services with a list of participating providers. The PPO allows you to go to any dentist and pay a percentage of the fee.
Vision
A discount plan is available through CompBenefits for expenses associated with routine eye examinations, contact lenses, and glasses.
Life and AD&D (Accidental Death and Dismemberment)
Aero/IGS/HSC provides basic life insurance and basic AD&D insurance for employees at no cost. You may elect to purchase additional voluntary life insurance and AD&D in various coverage levels for you and your dependents through Lincoln Financial.
Long Term Disability
LTD protects your most valuable asset, your income. It is provided by Aero/IGS/HSC at no cost to you. Benefits are paid by Lincoln Financial at 60% of basic monthly earnings when disabled longer than 90 days.
Short Term Disability
STD can be used to supplement your income for the first 90 days of absence from work due to a serious illness or injury (includes maternity). The cost to you is based on your age and annual salary. Benefits are paid out by Lincoln Financial after an 8-day waiting period.
Retirement
You may enroll in this program through Franklin Templeton during the first quarter following a 90-day waiting period. Payroll contributions to the 401k plan are pre-tax. Depending on profits, HSC may make a discretionary match annually.
Employee Assistance Program
Counseling services are provided to assist you with personal or work related challenges that affect your ability to perform your job. These services are confidential and at no cost to you.
Prepaid Legal
You may enroll in this program to take advantage of free and discounted legal services for a low monthly fee.
Vacation
After one year of service you are eligible for a prorated amount of paid vacation. The following January you receive 10 days for the current year. The number of days increases based on your length of service. You receive 15 days after five years and 20 days after nineteen years.
Sick Leave
After a 90-day waiting period, you may use sick leave for illnesses, injuries, and doctor/dentist appointments. Six days of sick leave are accumulated per year and may be carried over from year to year.
Personal Hours
Aero/IGS/HSC provides 16 hours of personal time off with pay per calendar year after a 90-day waiting period. These days or portions of days may be used as needed for personal necessities or personal emergencies during the normal workday.
Holidays
Aero/IGS/HSC observes seven paid holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Friday after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
Floating Holiday
After a 90-day waiting period, you receive one floating holiday per calendar year to use as an additional day off for any reason you choose.
Credit Union
Aero/IGS/HSC is affiliated with the Priority One Credit Union. They provide competitive financing rates for homes, cars, and credit cards for you and your family members. NO FEES are charged as long as your paycheck is direct deposited into your account. The minimum deposit is $30 to become a member.
Group Banking
Aero/IGS/HSC participates with Wachovia in the 'Wachovia at Work' program which provides discounts off various accounts and services as long as you direct deposit into your account.
Wachovia at Work
A group banking benefit from Wachovia Bank; HSC team members receive a free checking account and a variety of other banking services at better rates.
Theme Parks
Aero/IGS/HSC has corporate fan club memberships with Busch Gardens, Sea World, Universal Studios, Silver Springs, and Kennedy Space Center. All fan clubs provide discounts to their parks and attractions.
