Designed for demanding duty cycles, the Danfoss / Eaton XLH Series Spool Valve is a cast iron, low-speed gerotor motor built under the Char-Lynn Xcel sub-brand. It delivers a torque rating of 287 Nm and supports flow rates up to 57 litres per minute, making it well suited for aerial work platform and food processing applications where reliable low-speed torque is a priority.
The spool valve configuration works in conjunction with an efficient disc valve mechanism that maintains consistent speed performance. Higher torque output at low speeds is a key characteristic of this motor, and the advanced design delivers a feature-rich package suitable for applications where precision motion control under load is required.

Question by: Ronnie W on Aug 25, 2025, 4:34 PM
What kind of applications is this motor actually built for? Got a food processing line and an aerial lift situation and tryin to figure out if one motor covers both.
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 27, 2025, 12:04 PM
Food processing and aerial work platforms are exactly the two use cases this motor was put together for. The XLH Series runs as a low-speed gerotor, so it delivers strong torque at low RPMs, which matters a lot in both of those environments where you need controlled, reliable movement under load rather than high-speed spinning. At 287 Nm of torque and flow rates up to 57 litres per minute, it has enough capacity to handle demanding duty cycles in either setting.
Question by: Pete M on May 5, 2025, 11:05 AM
looking for a motor that’ll pull hard when it’s creeping along, is that what this XLH spool valve unit is good at?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 7, 2025, 8:18 AM
Higher torque at low speeds is one of the main strengths of the XLH Series low-speed gerotor motor, so it fits applications where you need steady low-speed power under load. It is rated at 287 Nm of torque.
