DANFOSS / EATON-XLH Series, Spool Valve

Description & Features

Designed for demanding low-speed, high-torque applications, this cast iron spool valve motor delivers a torque rating of 419 Nm and supports flow rates up to 57 litres per minute. The Danfoss / Eaton XLH Series, Spool Valve is built around a Gerotor/Geroler mechanism with an efficient disc valve design that maintains consistent speed performance across varying load conditions.

Suited for aerial work platforms and food processing equipment, this Xcel sub-brand motor combines advanced design with reliable output in environments where precise, low-speed torque control is a priority. The cast iron construction contributes to durability under sustained hydraulic load, while the spool valve configuration supports responsive directional control.

low speed work is what i need, but i cant have it boggin down when the load changes. does this XLH motor hold a steady speed?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 7, 2025, 2:03 PM
Under changing load, the “same speed” disc valve design is meant to keep speed performance more consistent, which is a good fit when you need controlled low speed operation without a lot of hunting.

Got a machine running aerial work platform duty and need something that'll hold up at low RPM under load. This motor rated for that kind of work?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 15, 2026, 7:21 AM
419 Nm of torque at low speeds is exactly what this motor is built around. The Gerotor/Geroler mechanism keeps output consistent even when loads shift, which is a real advantage on aerial platform equipment where smooth, controlled movement matters. Cast iron construction handles the sustained hydraulic load without giving up over time. It's listed as a direct fit for aerial work platform applications, so you're in the right territory.
