Question by: Jerry F on Nov 11, 2025, 2:42 PM
flow rate on this valve is listed at 80 liters per minute -- is that enough for press and die casting work or is it on the lower end for those applications?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 12, 2025, 4:32 PM
For die casting and press applications, 80 liters per minute is a solid working flow rate and fits right in the expected range for directional control valves running those kinds of cycles. The DG4V series was built with exactly those industries in mind, so you're not squeezing it to its limits by using it there. Just make sure your system demand doesn't regularly push against that ceiling, since running a valve near max flow continuously tends to accelerate wear on the seals over time.

got a press that needs a directional valve, what kind of control does this DG4V 3 give you
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 4, 2026, 6:26 AM
For a lot of hydraulic setups, it is there to route flow where you need it, since it provides three or four way directional control. That makes it a common fit in equipment like presses, machine tools, and similar industrial systems where you need the valve to shift oil flow between functions.
