Question by: Hank F on May 31, 2025, 3:32 PM
Flow rate on this one's listed at 80 liters per minute, that enough for press work or primary metal applications where you're pushing pretty hard?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 2, 2025, 6:43 AM
For press and primary metal processing, 80 liters per minute is a solid working figure and lines up well with what those environments typically demand from a directional control valve in this class. The DG4V3S series was built with exactly those kinds of heavy-duty applications in mind, so you're not stretching it by putting it there. Just make sure your system is sized to match that flow capacity on both the supply and return sides and you should be in good shape.

Wondering if this valve would be alright for a hydraulic press application?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 27, 2025, 11:05 AM
It's certainly suitable for presses. This Vickers valve is also commonly used in die casting, foundry work, machine tools, marine/offshore environments, primary metal processing, paper mills, test equipment and simulation, and turbine control for wind, steam, and water systems.
