Question by: Wes H on Apr 13, 2025, 2:11 PM
got a machine tool circuit that needs a 3 or 4 way directional valve. is this DG4V-3 a decent fit or is it more for heavy stuff
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 15, 2025, 6:20 AM
Built for three or four way directional control in industrial hydraulic circuits, it lands in that medium-duty zone and is commonly used around machine tools, presses, primary metal, and similar equipment. With an 80 L/min flow rating and a 30W solenoid, it is set up for demanding work without being positioned as a specialty heavy-only valve.
Question by: Judy G on Feb 15, 2026, 7:54 AM
Flow rate on this one's listed at 80 litres per minute, that enough for a mid-size press application, or am I gonna be pushing it?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 16, 2026, 5:28 PM
For medium-duty press work, 80 litres per minute is right in the wheelhouse. The DG4V-3 series is specifically called out for press applications, so that pairing isn't a stretch. Whether it's enough depends on your actuator sizing and cycle demands, but the valve itself is rated and suited for exactly that kind of environment.
Question by: Hugh C on Nov 8, 2025, 9:40 AM
Is this valve okay for, like, a metal press kinda deal?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 9, 2025, 7:06 PM
This DG4V valve is well-suited for use in presses, as well as primary metal applications. It's also used in machine tooling, marine and offshore, and even turbine control scenarios.
