Designed for three- or four-way directional control in demanding industrial circuits, the Vickers DG4V 3S 0FL M U D5 is a single-stage directional control valve rated for flow up to 80 litres per minute. The 30-watt solenoid and Buna-N seal construction make it well suited for continuous-duty hydraulic applications across a broad range of industries.
Mounting follows industry-standard subplate patterns, simplifying integration into existing manifold arrangements. Approved for use across die casting and foundry, machine tool, press, marine and offshore, primary metal and paper processing, test and simulation equipment, and turbine control systems, including wind, steam, and water turbines, this valve covers a wide operational range within a single compact design.

Question by: Sherry B on Feb 15, 2026, 2:36 PM
What kind of machines would this valve be good for? My shop does mostly metal workin' stuff.
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 17, 2026, 9:00 AM
Typically, this Vickers directional control valve can be found in die casting and foundries, machine tool use, primary metal processing, and even paper mills. It's also used in marine and offshore applications, presses, test equipment, simulation setups, and turbine control systems.
Question by: Neal K on May 14, 2025, 11:04 AM
flow rate on this valve is listed at 80 lpm, that gonna hold up runnin a press application pretty much all day?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 15, 2025, 3:05 PM
For press applications, 80 liters per minute is well within what this valve was built to handle. Press and primary metal work are both listed application types for this unit, so it's not a stretch to run it in that kind of environment. The solenoid draws 30 watts, which is a reasonable load for continuous industrial duty. Buna-N seals are standard here, so as long as your fluid is compatible with that seal material, you should be in good shape for extended runs.
