Vickers CT5 101A C M FW B5

Description & Features

Designed for hydraulic circuits requiring precise pressure management, the Vickers CT5 101A C M FW B5 is an adjustable pressure control valve suited for applications where limiting circuit pressure to a defined maximum is essential. It handles flow rates up to 454 litres per minute, making it appropriate for medium-to-high flow industrial hydraulic systems.

The valve features a plug-and-play design for straightforward integration, and its moisture-resistant construction supports reliable performance in demanding environments. Buna-N seals provide durable fluid compatibility across common hydraulic media. Part of the Vickers line under the Danfoss/Eaton brand family, this unit functions as either a pressure relief or pressure regulating valve depending on circuit configuration.

Question by: Shawn M on Sep 4, 2025, 6:01 AM
flow rate on this one is listed at 454 litres per minute -- is that enough for medium to high volume industrial circuits or is it pushing the upper limit of what this valve handles comfortably?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 6, 2025, 6:01 AM
For medium-to-high flow industrial hydraulic systems, 454 litres per minute sits right in the working range this valve was built for. It's not a marginal rating you'd be bumping up against under normal use. If your circuit runs within that threshold, you're not pushing the valve into territory it wasn't meant to cover.

If I'm trying to keep the pressure in my hydraulic system from goin' too high, is this the right kinda valve for that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 5, 2026, 6:12 AM
Designed for hydraulic circuits needing precise pressure control, the Vickers CT5 101A C M FW B5 is indeed suited for limiting pressure to a specific maximum.
Question by: Jean F on Jul 22, 2025, 7:12 AM
got a circuit that needs a hard pressure cap. is this CT5 valve meant to act like a relief valve or is it more of a regulator?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 23, 2025, 9:20 AM
Depending on how you plumb it into the circuit, it can serve as an adjustable pressure relief valve or as a pressure regulating valve. Either way, the job it is built for is limiting hydraulic circuit pressure to a set maximum.
