Designed for three- or four-way directional control in demanding industrial environments, the Vickers DG4S4W 012A B 60 LH is a single-stage directional control valve rated for flow up to 95 litres per minute. Buna-N seals provide reliable fluid compatibility across a wide range of hydraulic media, and the valve mounts directly to industry-standard surfaces for straightforward integration into existing circuits.
This valve is well suited to high-duty applications including press systems, machine tool equipment, die casting and foundry machinery, primary metal and paper processing, marine and offshore installations, turbine control systems, and test and simulation equipment. With thousands of configurations available across the DG4S4 series, this model represents one option within a broad family engineered to meet varied flow, pressure, and porting requirements.

Question by: Lee B on Jan 4, 2026, 9:45 PM
flow rate on this thing listed as 95 litres per minute -- is that enough for press or die casting work, or would you need something bigger for heavy duty cycles?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 6, 2026, 9:12 AM
For most press and die casting setups, 95 litres per minute is a solid working capacity. The DG4S4W series was built with exactly those kinds of applications in mind, along with foundry equipment and primary metal processing, so it's not being stretched into territory it wasn't meant for. Whether that flow ceiling fits your specific circuit depends on your system demands, but the valve isn't underpowered for industrial press or casting use by any stretch.
Question by: Dean T on Dec 17, 2025, 2:00 PM
Can this handle gettin' splashed with saltwater on a regular basis, or is it more for shop use?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 19, 2025, 6:57 AM
Buna-N seals provide good fluid compatibility, which means it should hold up reasonably well in a marine environment where it might get splashed. But it's primarily designed for industrial hydraulic systems, so keep an eye on it for any signs of corrosion.
Question by: Eddie B on Dec 19, 2025, 9:07 AM
trying to swap out a worn directional valve, is this DG4S4W 012A B 60 LH the kind that bolts right onto a standard mounting surface?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 21, 2025, 6:59 AM
For fit and mounting, it is made to mount directly to industry standard surfaces, so it is intended to drop into circuits that use those common mounting patterns.
