Vickers DG5S4 048C 2 E V M

Description & Features

Designed for two-stage directional control in demanding industrial hydraulic systems, the Vickers DG5S4 048C 2 E V M is a pilot-operated valve rated for flow up to 94 litres per minute. With a 30-watt solenoid and Buna-N seals, it is well suited for applications requiring reliable, repeatable flow direction switching across a wide range of fluid and temperature conditions.

Three- or four-way directional control capability makes this valve adaptable across numerous circuit configurations. It mounts to industry-standard surfaces, simplifying integration into existing manifold arrangements. Supported applications include machine tool, press, die casting and foundry, primary metal and paper processing, marine and offshore installations, test and simulation equipment, and turbine control systems for wind, steam, and water.

Question by: Earl J on May 27, 2025, 9:18 AM
Flow rate on this one says 94 litres per minute, that enough for a press application or is it gonna be cutting it close?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 29, 2025, 6:20 AM
For press work, 94 litres per minute is a solid flow capacity. Press circuits vary a lot depending on cylinder size and cycle speed, but this valve sits in a range that handles a wide variety of press configurations without being a bottleneck. The pilot-operated design also helps with repeatable switching, which matters when you're running consistent stroke cycles. As long as your system demand falls within that flow ceiling, you're in good shape.
Question by: Shane P on Jul 22, 2025, 2:04 PM
Is this here valve able to handle gettin' plumb tuckered out on a machine tool that's runnin' near constant?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 24, 2025, 6:37 AM
This pilot-operated valve is designed to provide reliable and repeatable directional control, making it suitable for demanding industrial hydraulic systems, including machine tools that operate under heavy duty cycles.
