Vickers DG5S4 046C E M FW

Description & Features

A two-stage directional control valve designed for demanding industrial hydraulic circuits, the Vickers DG5S4 046C E M FW supports three- or four-way directional control with a maximum flow rate of 94 litres per minute. Buna-N seals provide reliable fluid compatibility across a wide range of hydraulic media, while the 30-watt solenoid rating suits standard industrial power configurations.

Mounting follows industry-standard surface patterns, making integration into existing manifold assemblies straightforward. This valve is suited to a broad range of applications including machine tool circuits, press systems, die casting and foundry equipment, primary metal and paper processing, marine and offshore installations, turbine control systems, and test and simulation equipment. The Vickers platform offers an extensive model range to match varying flow, pressure, and porting requirements across these sectors.

Question by: Steve R on Nov 4, 2025, 6:24 AM
flow rate on this valve is listed at 94 litres per minute -- is that enough for a press circuit running moderate tonnage, or would I be looking at something bigger?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 5, 2025, 2:30 PM
For a lot of press applications, 94 litres per minute lands right in a comfortable working range. Two-stage directional valves like this one are commonly used in press systems specifically because they can manage the kind of controlled, sequenced flow those circuits demand. Whether that flow ceiling fits your particular setup depends on your cylinder sizing and cycle demands, but this valve shows up in press applications by design, not just by chance. If your circuit sits well under that 94 LPM ceiling, you're in good shape.

Will this directional valve fit standard hydraulic manifolds without needing adapters?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 30, 2025, 3:54 PM
Mounting this Vickers DG5S4 valve follows industry-standard surface patterns, which should make it easy to integrate into existing manifold assemblies.
