A direct-acting proportional valve with fluorocarbon seals, the Vickers KDG4V-3S-2C15S is designed for demanding industrial environments including die casting, press applications, marine and offshore installations, turbine control, and test and simulation equipment. Rated at 15 litres per minute, it suits a broad range of flow control requirements across primary metal, paper, and machine tool industries.
Available in three performance levels, ultra, high, and standard, this valve provides flexibility to match application-specific requirements without over-engineering the solution. Plug-and-play functionality reduces commissioning time, making integration into existing hydraulic circuits more straightforward. The direct-acting design supports precise proportional control, and the fluorocarbon seal material offers compatibility with a range of hydraulic fluids in service conditions where seal integrity is critical.

Question by: Cody B on May 26, 2025, 1:27 PM
got a press application running some pretty aggressive cycles and we been burning through valve seals something awful. the fluorocarbon seals on this one, are those gonna hold up better than standard nitrile in that kind of environment?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 27, 2025, 7:46 PM
Fluorocarbon seals generally outperform nitrile when fluids are aggressive or operating temperatures push higher than normal. For press applications where seal integrity is a known weak point, this material choice is a meaningful upgrade over standard options. The KDG4V-3S-2C15S comes fitted with fluorocarbon seals from the factory, so you're not retrofitting anything.

got a setup that needs smooth proportional control, not a bang-bang valve. what kind of valve is this one?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 2, 2025, 6:47 AM
Direct-acting proportional control is the whole point of this valve, so it is meant for precise, adjustable flow control instead of simple on off shifting.
Question by: Lee B on Mar 25, 2026, 3:02 PM
Can this handle hydraulic fluid okay? I know some seals get eaten up by the wrong stuff.
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 26, 2026, 8:20 PM
Fluorocarbon seals are used in this Vickers valve for compatibility with a range of hydraulic fluids, which is critical for maintaining seal integrity under demanding service conditions.
