Question by: Brent W on Jul 20, 2025, 11:27 AM
What kind of hydraulic fluid does this pump use?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 22, 2025, 6:26 AM
Being constructed from cast iron with Buna-N seals, this Vickers vane pump should be compatible with standard hydraulic fluids, including petroleum-based oils and some synthetic fluids. Confirm the fluid compatibility with Buna-N seals for optimal performance.

got a wheel loader that’s been a little loud on the hydraulics. is this 2520V pump one of the quieter ones or nah
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 24, 2025, 6:18 AM
For noise-sensitive equipment, the intra-vane cartridge design on this Vickers 2520V series pump is meant to reduce noise while still keeping good volumetric efficiency.
Question by: Janet E on Dec 23, 2025, 9:29 PM
flow rate on this one is listed in liters, anybody know what that works out to in gallons per minute for a dump truck application?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 25, 2025, 8:22 AM
Running the conversion, 121.23 litres per minute comes out to roughly 32 gallons per minute. For dump truck use, that's a solid output and sits well within the range most hydraulic systems on that equipment are built around. The pump is also listed for wheel loader applications, so it's built to handle the kind of continuous demand those machines put on a hydraulic circuit.
