what kind of noise level can I expect out of this pump runnin in a metal cutting setup? heard vane pumps can get loud

Noise reduction is actually one of the stronger points of this particular pump. The intra-vane cartridge design is specifically built to keep operation quieter compared to standard vane pump configurations. For metal cutting applications, that matters a good bit since those environments already carry plenty of ambient noise. You won't get a decibel rating from the spec sheet, but the design intent is clear and it's a known strength of the VHO Series.
