we run a lot of double vane pumps on our press equipment and I keep seein the 4525V series come up. this a cast iron unit or one of them aluminum housings?

Cast iron all the way through on this one. For press and die casting environments where you've got constant cycle loads and a fair amount of heat and vibration, that cast iron housing holds up a lot better than aluminum alternatives. It's built for continuous-duty industrial work, so the material choice isn't just cosmetic. Buna-N seals are standard on this pump as well, which covers most general hydraulic fluid applications you'd run into on press machinery.

Reckon this pump could handle runnin' near constant in a plastics plant? We're always pushin' things pretty hard.
