Been running Vickers vane pumps for years and looking to stick with what works. This a cast iron unit or one of them aluminum housings?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 7, 2026, 6:52 AM
Cast iron all the way. The 4525V60A21 86AB22R uses a cast iron body, so you're getting solid construction that holds up better under pressure cycles than the lighter aluminum alternatives. For shop environments where durability matters more than weight, that's usually the right call.

If I'm running this pump in a plastics plant, can I expect it to hold up okay?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 21, 2025, 4:29 PM
Application-wise, this Vickers vane pump is definitely suitable for plastics machinery, as well as press machines, die casting, machine tools, test equipment, and even heavier stuff like primary metal, pulp and paper, wood processing, oil and gas, and marine uses.
