Vickers KDG4V 3S 33C08A M U

Description & Features

Designed for demanding industrial environments, the Vickers KDG4V 3S 33C08A M U is a direct-acting proportional valve rated at 8 litres per minute flow. It is available in three performance levels, ultra, high, and standard, allowing selection to match specific application requirements without over-specifying.

Fluorocarbon seals support compatibility with a broad range of hydraulic fluids, and plug-and-play functionality is built in to reduce commissioning time. Suitable applications span machine tool, press, marine and offshore, die casting and foundry, primary metal and paper processing, test equipment and simulation, and turbine control systems including wind, steam, and water.

Question by: Glen A on Oct 10, 2025, 8:12 PM
three performance levels sounds good on paper, but what actually separates ultra from standard on something like this? trying to figure out if we need to spec up or if standard gets the job done for most press work
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 12, 2025, 6:29 AM
Flow control precision and response characteristics are what typically shift between those tiers. The ultra level is built for applications where tight tolerances and repeatable positioning matter most, while standard covers general-purpose use where some variation is acceptable. For press work that doesn't require fine proportional tuning, standard often holds up fine. If your press cycle demands consistent, repeatable force profiling, stepping up to high or ultra is worth the cost difference.
