VICKERS COIL UG/EN407/12VDC

Description & Features

Designed for continuous duty across demanding mobile and industrial environments, this 12VDC solenoid coil from Vickers, now part of the Danfoss/Eaton family, delivers reliable electromagnetic actuation with an internally rectified design that simplifies installation in DC-powered systems. The compact form factor makes it well-suited for installations where space is limited.

The Vickers Coil Ug/En407/12Vdc is commonly used in harvesters, refuse haulers, and a range of mobile and stationary hydraulic applications. Internal rectification eliminates the need for an external rectifier, reducing component count and wiring complexity in the field. Its continuous duty rating means it can sustain extended energized cycles without the thermal limitations associated with intermittent-duty coils.

Question by: Shawn F on Apr 9, 2025, 8:47 AM
Running this coil on a refuse hauler that stays energized pretty much all shift long. It gonna hold up to that kind of use without burning itself out?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 11, 2025, 6:01 AM
Continuous duty is exactly what this coil is rated for, so long energized cycles are no problem. Unlike intermittent-duty coils that need to cool down between cycles, this one is built to stay on without running into thermal issues. Refuse haulers are actually one of the listed applications for it, so that workload lines up with how it was intended to be used.

Will this work in a hydraulic system on a farm harvester?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 1, 2026, 9:22 AM
Application-wise, yes, this coil is often used in harvesters as well as refuse haulers and other mobile or stationary hydraulic setups.
