For controlling actuator direction, it’s a single stage directional control valve in the Vickers DG4S4-01 60 design family, set up for three or four way directional control.

flow rate on this valve is 95 LPM, but what kind of applications is it actually built for? running it on a press setup and want to make sure it fits before we order.

Press applications are right in its wheelhouse, along with machine tool setups, die casting and foundry environments, primary metal processing, marine and offshore use, turbine control systems, and test equipment. The Buna-N seals hold up well in standard hydraulic fluid environments, and the valve mounts to industry-standard surfaces so fitting it into an existing press circuit is usually straightforward.

Reckon this valve would hold up okay in a machine shop environment? We get a fair bit of dust and coolant mist floating around.
