pump's rated for over 120 liters a minute -- that seem right for a plastic injection molding setup or is that more than what most machines need?

For plastic injection molding, that flow rate is actually on the higher end, which tends to work in your favor when you need fast clamp cycles or are running multiple circuits. The 2520V17A14 puts out roughly 121 liters per minute, so if your system is sized to handle that volume, you'll have plenty of flow available. Machines that run lower demand cycles won't be hurt by having extra capacity, though your system relief and line sizing need to match up.
