flow rate on this thing tops out at 120 liters per minute -- is that enough for most machine tool setups or is it on the lower end?

Most standard machine tool hydraulic circuits run well within that range, so the DGMX2-5-PP-FW-RC-B-30 handles those demands without being pushed to its limits.
