The Eaton Vickers DG17V 3 8N 60 is a directional control valve designed for a variety of applications including die casting and foundry work, machine tools, marine and offshore, presses, primary metal production, paper mills, test equipment and simulation, and turbine control systems.

This Vickers sub-branded valve offers three- or four-way directional control and is easily mountable on industry-standard surfaces. It uses Buna-N seals and offers a flow rate of 75 liters per minute. The product width is 1.81 inches.

got a die casting machine that needs a single stage directional valve. is this DG17V-3 the right kind of valve for that?

flow rate on this valve is listed at 75 LPM, that enough for a press application or should i be looking at something bigger?

For most press setups, 75 litres per minute is a solid working capacity. The DG17V-3 is built with press applications specifically in mind, so the flow rating lines up well with typical demand in that environment. If your system is running higher peak flows than that, you'd want to size up, but for standard press circuits this valve fits right in.
