flow rate on this one is listed at 227 liters per minute -- is that enough for press or turbine control work, or is it more suited to lighter duty machine tool setups?

At 227 liters per minute, you've got solid flow capacity that holds up across both ends of that spectrum. Press applications and turbine control are both listed uses for this valve, so it's not limited to lighter machine tool work. Die casting, foundry environments, and marine setups are also in scope. It's a stack valve configuration, which keeps the hydraulic connections tight and reduces the number of external connections you'd otherwise be managing.
