Flow rate on this one is listed at 227 litres per minute, is that enough to run a mid-size industrial press without the valve becoming a bottleneck?

That flow capacity puts it well within the range for moderate-to-high-demand hydraulic systems, so you're unlikely to hit a restriction problem under normal operating conditions.
