Vickers KCG 3 40 D Z M U H1

Description & Features

A direct-acting proportional valve designed for precision flow control across demanding industrial environments, the Vickers KCG 3 40 D Z M U H1 is suited for applications in die casting and foundry, machine tool, press, marine/offshore, primary metal and paper processing, turbine control, and test and simulation equipment.

Available in three performance levels, ultra, high, and standard, this valve can be matched to a broad range of application requirements without over-specifying. Plug-and-play functionality reduces commissioning time, making it a practical choice for integration into new or existing hydraulic circuits. Rated at 5 litres per minute flow rate and fitted with Buna-N seals, it is built for compatibility with common hydraulic fluids in industrial service.

Question by: Terry P on Jun 5, 2025, 4:48 PM
Flow rate on this thing is listed at 5 LPM, that going to hold up running it in a press application, or is that gonna be too restricted for most press setups?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 7, 2025, 6:01 AM
Five litres per minute is what this valve is rated for, and press applications are actually one of the intended uses it's built around. If your press circuit is sized around that flow range, you're working within what the valve was designed to handle. Where folks run into trouble is trying to push higher flow demands through a valve specced for precision control at lower rates. So as long as your system requirements line up with that 5 LPM rating, it fits right in for press work.
