what kind of seal material does this valve use, and is it gonna hold up in a foundry environment?

Buna-N seals are standard on this unit. Foundry and die casting are both listed application environments for it, so running it in that kind of heat and grime is well within what it was built for. Buna-N handles petroleum-based hydraulic fluids well and holds up against the general abuse those settings tend to dish out.
