what industries is this proportional valve actually built for? got a few different applications on our floor and tryin to figure out if one valve can cover it

Quite a few, actually. The KCG 3 100D Z M U covers die casting and foundry work, machine tool use, press applications, primary metal and paper production, marine and offshore environments, test equipment and simulation setups, and turbine control.
