Question by: Jean H on Jun 7, 2025, 9:36 AM
Is this valve meant to keep the pressure from going too high in my hydraulic system?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 8, 2025, 8:45 PM
That's exactly what it's for. The Vickers CT5 pressure control valve is designed to limit the pressure in a hydraulic circuit, preventing it from exceeding a set maximum.
Question by: Marvin W on Nov 15, 2025, 12:27 PM
flow rate on this one is listed at 227 litres per minute -- is that enough for most standard hydraulic relief setups or is it on the lower end?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 16, 2025, 4:45 PM
For a pressure control valve in this class, 227 litres per minute is a solid mid-to-upper range capacity. Most standard hydraulic relief circuits don't push anywhere near that, so you've got good headroom for typical industrial and mobile equipment applications where you're just looking to cap system pressure at a desired maximum.
