It features a 3/8" port size and supports flow rates up to 45 litres per minute under standard conditions.

So, this is a poppet style check valve, right? What does that actually mean for how it works?

Poppet-style check valves like this Vickers DPC1-10S-P-6T use a poppet, or a cone-shaped plug, to control flow. The valve opens when pressure is applied in the correct direction, pushing the poppet open and allowing flow. When the pressure drops or reverses, the spring pushes the poppet back into its seat, sealing the valve and preventing backflow.
