VICKERS RV1 10 S 0 36/11

Description & Features

Designed for mobile and industrial hydraulic circuits, the Vickers RV1 10 S 0 36/11 is a poppet-style pressure control valve built to handle demanding duty cycles in applications such as harvesters and refuse haulers. The poppet construction provides a reliable sealing response and consistent pressure regulation across varying flow conditions.

Rated for flows up to 30 litres per minute, this valve is part of the Vickers RV1-10 series, which is engineered to accommodate up to 350 bar (5,000 psi) and up to 300 L/min across the broader product range. Its compact form factor makes it well suited for installations where mounting space is limited, without compromising pressure control performance. The series is manufactured under the Vickers brand by Danfoss/Eaton.

Running this valve on a refuse hauler that works hard all week long. Does the poppet design hold up under that kind of constant back-and-forth, or does it start leaking down after a while?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 19, 2025, 6:01 AM
Poppet-style valves actually hold up well in high-cycle applications like refuse equipment. The sealing action on a poppet is mechanical and positive, meaning it contacts the seat directly rather than relying on a spool to block flow. That tends to give you more consistent pressure regulation and less internal bypass over time compared to other valve styles. The RV1-10 series is specifically called out for demanding duty cycles, and refuse haulers are listed as one of the intended applications, so you're in the right territory with this one.
