Vickers SV4 10 C 8H 24DP

Description & Features

Designed for mobile and industrial hydraulic circuits, the Vickers SV4 10 C 8H 24DP is a 2-way, 2-position normally closed solenoid valve rated for demanding duty cycles across applications such as harvesters and refuse haulers. It operates on a 24-volt coil and features a 1/2-inch port size with a flow rate of 23 litres per minute.

Built from hardened and ground steel, the valve is engineered for reliable, compact installation where space and durability are priorities. The SV4 series is capable of handling pressures up to 350 bar (5,000 psi) and flows up to 227 L/min across the broader product family, making it a practical choice for both mobile equipment and stationary industrial circuits.

What voltage does this valve need?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 13, 2026, 5:15 PM
This valve is designed to operate on a 24-volt system.
Question by: Rhonda K on Oct 24, 2025, 9:47 AM
got a refuse hauler that keeps cycling that valve hard all day long, this a normally closed setup or does it default open when the solenoid cuts out?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 25, 2025, 1:19 PM
Normally closed is correct. When the solenoid loses power, the valve closes. That's actually a practical default for refuse hauler work since it keeps the circuit sealed if power drops unexpectedly. The 24-volt coil and hardened steel construction are both built with that kind of demanding, repetitive duty in mind.
