Reckon this would work okay on a harvester?

Harvesters are explicitly listed as one of the applications this Vickers solenoid valve is designed for, along with refuse haulers plus other mobile and industrial uses.

Got an older harvester that's been giving me fits with a leaky solenoid valve. This one runs on 24 volts and stays normally closed, yeah? Just want to make sure before I pull the trigger on ordering.
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 26, 2025, 10:25 AM
Correct on both counts. Runs at 24 volts DC and it's a 2-way, 2-position normally closed configuration, so it stays shut until energized. That makes it a solid fit for harvester hydraulic circuits where you want the valve to fail closed if power drops. Hardened and ground steel construction means it holds up to the kind of wear those machines dish out over time.
