Vickers SV5 8 C A6T 12DQS

Description & Features

Designed for demanding mobile and industrial environments, the Vickers SV5 8 C A6T 12DQS is a 2-way, 2-position normally closed solenoid valve rated for use in harvesters, refuse haulers, and a broad range of mobile and industrial hydraulic circuits. The valve operates on a 12-volt solenoid and features a 3/8-inch port size with a flow rate of 23 litres per minute.

Part of the Vickers SV5-8-C/CM series, this valve is built from hardened and ground steel for durability in high-cycle applications. The series is engineered to handle up to 350 bar (5,000 psi) and flows up to 227 L/min (60 USgpm) across the range, offering a compact and reliable design suited to space-constrained installations. Its economical construction makes it a practical choice where consistent directional control is required in mobile equipment and industrial hydraulic systems.

Question by: Wes W on Mar 4, 2026, 8:18 AM
reckon this would work alright on a silage harvester?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 6, 2026, 6:10 AM
This Vickers SV5 series valve is rated for use on harvesters, so it should fit the bill for your silage operation. Just make sure the 3/8-inch port size and 23 LPM flow rate match your system requirements.
Question by: Pete R on Nov 6, 2025, 2:43 PM
got a harvester sitting idle because the old solenoid valve gave out, this a normally closed 2-way setup on 12 volts?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 8, 2025, 12:51 PM
normally closed, 2-way, 2-position, and runs on 12 volts. When the solenoid isn't energized the valve stays closed, so flow is blocked until you send power to it. That's a pretty common configuration for mobile equipment like harvesters where you want a fail-safe closed state. Port size is 3/8 inch and flow rate on this particular valve is 23 litres per minute, so make sure that lines up with what your circuit needs before you pull the trigger.
