VICKERS SV4-10-C-6H-12DW

Description & Features

Designed for mobile and industrial hydraulic circuits, the Vickers SV4-10-C-6H-12DW is a 2-way, 2-position normally closed solenoid valve rated for demanding duty in applications such as harvesters and refuse haulers. Operating on a 12-volt DC coil, it is built around hardened and ground steel construction for consistent performance under sustained use.

The valve features a 3/8-inch port size and a flow rate of 23 litres per minute, with the broader SV4-10 series rated to 350 bar (5,000 psi) and 227 L/min (60 USgpm). Its compact, economical design makes it a practical choice where space and reliability are equally important considerations.

Running a 12V DC system on a refuse hauler and need a normally closed 2-way valve that won't give out after hard use. This SV4-10 hold up for that kind of work?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 11, 2025, 6:43 PM
Refuse haulers are actually one of the named applications for this valve, so it fits right in with that kind of duty. The hardened and ground steel construction keeps it consistent under sustained use, which matters a lot when a machine is cycling repeatedly through a full shift. The 12-volt DC coil matches your system, and the normally closed configuration means flow stays blocked until the solenoid energizes, which is the safe default most mobile setups want.

Can this handle dirty hydraulic fluid okay, or does it need a filter?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 28, 2025, 6:42 AM
Designed for sustained use in demanding mobile and industrial hydraulic circuits, this Vickers solenoid valve uses hardened and ground steel construction, which means it should be relatively robust when it comes to contaminants.
