Question by: Shawn W on Aug 11, 2025, 4:44 PM
flow rate on this one is listed at 10 litres per minute -- is that the fixed output or can it be adjusted at all?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 13, 2025, 7:27 AM
Fixed pressure-compensated means exactly that -- the flow is set at 10 litres per minute and stays there. There's no adjustment built into this valve. If your system needs variable output, you'd be looking at a different style altogether. For applications where consistent, repeatable flow is what matters, this setup works well because it holds that rate regardless of pressure fluctuations in the circuit.

Reckon this would be alright on a silage chopper? We run them pretty hard around here.
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 18, 2025, 6:11 AM
This Vickers FR5-8 series flow control valve should do the trick for your silage chopper. It's designed to handle pressures up to 350 bar (5000 psi) and a flow rate of 350 L/min (92 USgpm), so it should hold up under demanding conditions.
