Designed for demanding mobile and industrial environments, the Vickers SV2-10-CR-0-00 is a 2-way, 2-position normally closed solenoid valve built to handle pressures up to 350 bar (5,000 psi). Constructed from hardened and ground steel, it delivers consistent performance in applications such as harvesters and refuse haulers where reliability and compactness are priorities.
Part of the Vickers SV2-10-C/CM/CR series, this valve offers a flow rate of 6 litres per minute and is engineered to balance economy with durability in space-constrained installations. The normally closed configuration ensures the valve defaults to a safe, closed state when de-energized, making it well suited to mobile hydraulic circuits that require controlled, predictable flow management.

Question by: Melvin S on Nov 25, 2025, 8:11 AM
got a harvester that keeps blowing circuits when the valve stays open too long, will this normally closed setup help with that? the machine cuts power randomly and I need something that defaults safe
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 26, 2025, 12:55 PM
A normally closed configuration is exactly what handles that situation. When power cuts out, the valve returns to closed on its own without any signal or manual intervention. So if your harvester loses power mid-cycle, flow stops automatically. That default-safe behavior is built into how this valve operates, not something you have to engineer around it.

Is this valve something that could handle pretty constant use, like on a machine that runs all day?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 9, 2025, 9:36 PM
Designed to hold up in demanding mobile and industrial environments, this Vickers solenoid valve is constructed from hardened and ground steel to deliver consistent performance. While specific duty cycle ratings aren't provided, its construction suggests it's made for fairly robust use.
