Will this here valve work on my harvester, or is it more for them big ol' refuse trucks?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 4, 2025, 3:20 PM
This Vickers valve is well-suited for both harvesters and refuse haulers, as the product description indicates it is designed for mobile and industrial applications.
Question by: Phil B on Oct 8, 2025, 5:41 PM
Running this on a refuse hauler that works pretty hard all day. 12 volt DC setup already, so the electrical side ain't a problem. Just want to know if the pressure rating is gonna hold up to what we're throwing at it.
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 10, 2025, 6:15 AM
At 350 bar (5,000 psi), this valve is built for exactly that kind of work. Refuse haulers are actually listed as one of the intended applications, so it's not a stretch to run it in that environment. The body is hardened and ground steel, which holds up well under the kind of vibration and load cycling that comes with daily collection routes. Your 12V DC electrical setup is the correct operating voltage, so that part lines up.
