Question by: Jimmy D on Mar 31, 2026, 8:37 PM
Running a refuse hauler and need a normally closed solenoid valve rated for 5000 psi. This one fit that bill?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 2, 2026, 11:22 AM
That's what this valve is built for. It's normally closed, bi-directional, 2-way 2-position, and rated to 350 bar which works out to 5000 psi. Refuse haulers are actually listed as one of the intended applications, so you're in the right place. The 3/8 port size is worth confirming against your existing hydraulic connections before you order, but the pressure rating and duty type line up with what you're describing.

Will this here valve work on my refuse truck? I gotta replace the old one, its shot.
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 5, 2025, 9:04 PM
This Vickers valve should do the trick for your refuse truck. It's used in those applications all the time, plus harvesters and other heavy equipment.
