Vickers SUB ASSY. Encapsulated Coil

Description & Features

Designed for continuous duty in demanding mobile and industrial environments, this Vickers SUB ASSY. Encapsulated Coil is built to perform reliably across a wide range of applications including harvesters and refuse haulers. The encapsulated construction provides solid protection for the coil assembly, making it well-suited for installations where exposure to vibration or contaminants is a concern.

The coil features internal rectification, eliminating the need for external rectifier components and simplifying installation in AC-powered hydraulic circuits. Its compact design allows integration into space-constrained valve configurations without sacrificing performance. Rated for continuous duty, it maintains consistent output during extended run cycles typical of mobile equipment and industrial hydraulic systems.

Manufactured under the Vickers brand by Danfoss/Eaton, this coil is part of the SICV coil series and carries a product width of 1.81 inches.

Question by: Gary H on Sep 2, 2025, 6:44 AM
got a harvester that keeps chewing through coils from vibration and gunk, would this encapsulated one hold up better than a standard coil in that kind of environment?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 4, 2025, 6:39 AM
Encapsulated coils handle that kind of punishment a lot better than open-frame versions. The encapsulation seals the assembly against contaminants and gives it solid resistance to the vibration you'd expect on harvest equipment. That's actually one of the main reasons this coil gets spec'd for harvesters and refuse haulers, both are rough-duty applications where a standard coil tends to fail early.
Question by: Ronnie B on Dec 4, 2025, 7:42 AM
Will this coil work okay on a harvester that runs pretty much all day during the season?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 5, 2025, 6:50 PM
Designed for continuous duty, this Vickers coil is built to maintain consistent performance during extended operation, making it suitable for the long run cycles typical of harvesting equipment.
