flow rate on this thing, is it really pushing 380 liters per minute? that seems like a lot for a directional control valve

For a two-stage pilot-operated valve in the DG5V-7 series, 380 liters per minute is right in line with what you'd expect. The larger frame size handles higher flow demands that a single-stage valve just can't manage, so that rating is accurate for this unit.
