Vickers KCG 3 L250D Z M U

Description & Features

Direct-acting proportional valve designed for precise flow control across a broad range of industrial applications, the Vickers KCG 3 L250D Z M U is available in three performance levels, ultra, high, and standard, allowing it to be matched closely to application requirements without over-specifying. Rated at 5 litres per minute, it suits systems where controlled, repeatable response is critical.

Plug-and-play functionality reduces commissioning time, making this valve a practical choice for integration into new or retrofit installations. Buna-N seals provide reliable performance across a range of compatible hydraulic fluids. Suitable for use in die casting and foundry equipment, machine tools, marine and offshore systems, presses, primary metal and paper machinery, test and simulation equipment, and turbine control systems including wind, steam, and water turbines.

Product Questions & Answers (3)

Question by: Lynn S on Sep 24, 2025, 3:44 PM
flow rate on this one -- is 5 liters per minute the max it'll push through, or is that just a baseline figure?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 25, 2025, 7:06 PM
Five liters per minute is the rated flow for this valve. It's a direct-acting proportional valve, so flow capacity is relatively modest by design. If your application needs higher throughput, you'd be looking at a different valve class altogether. For press work, machine tool circuits, or test equipment where precise, controlled flow at lower volumes is the priority, 5 LPM is right in the wheelhouse this valve was built for.

got a Vickers KCG-3 valve on a machine, is this one the same deal or is it a different style?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 11, 2025, 7:08 AM
Vickers KCG-3 10 Design proportional valves are direct-acting proportional valves, and this part is the “without OBE” version. It’s in the IV Proportional Valves family and is commonly used on equipment like machine tools, presses, and test and simulation rigs.
Question by: Kirk F on Sep 3, 2025, 4:56 PM
What kind of equipment would this valve typically be used on?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 4, 2025, 7:49 PM
Common applications for the KCG 3 L250D Z M U include die casting and foundry work, machine tools, marine and offshore equipment, presses, primary metal processing, paper production, test equipment, simulation setups, and turbine control systems for wind, steam, and water.
