Product Questions & Answers (2)

Question by: Troy M on Apr 26, 2025, 1:09 PM
flow rate on this valve is listed at 40 liters per minute -- is that enough for press and die casting setups or is it on the lower end for that kind of work?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 27, 2025, 6:55 PM
For die casting and press applications, 40 liters per minute is a workable flow rate in a good number of setups, particularly where the system isn't running extremely high-volume circuits. This valve is specifically listed for die casting, foundry use, and press applications, so it's built with those environments in mind. Whether it fits your exact circuit depends on your system's demand, but it lands in a practical range for many industrial press and casting use rather than being an outlier on either end.
Question by: Chad S on Apr 6, 2025, 1:14 PM
Can this valve handle hydraulic fluid in a die casting setup?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 8, 2025, 6:10 AM
Application-wise, this Vickers directional control valve is indeed suitable for die casting and foundry applications, along with machine tools, marine/offshore equipment, presses, primary metal production, the paper industry, test equipment, simulation, and turbine control systems.
