Question by: Cindy M on Dec 25, 2025, 4:50 PM
flow rate on this valve is listed at 95 liters per minute, is that enough for press and die casting work or would it be undersized for those applications?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 27, 2025, 8:42 AM
For die casting and press applications, 95 liters per minute is a solid flow rate that falls well within the typical range those setups demand. Vickers built this valve with exactly those environments in mind, so it's not just technically capable on paper. The application list on this part specifically calls out die casting, foundry work, and presses, which means it was validated for that kind of duty. Whether it's sized right for your exact circuit depends on your system's flow demands, but the valve itself is not a limiting factor for those use cases.

I'm trying to figure out if this directional control valve would be a good fit for a press I'm working on. What kind of applications is it typically used for?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 15, 2025, 7:57 AM
This Vickers valve is well-suited for presses, along with applications like die casting, machine tools, marine/offshore equipment, primary metal processing, paper production, test equipment, simulation, and turbine control systems.
