Product Questions & Answers (1)

Question by: Shane G on Sep 27, 2025, 3:23 PM
pump's got torque-limiting built in, does that actually make a difference in something like a metal forming setup, or is that more of a nice-to-have feature?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 29, 2025, 1:20 PM
Torque limiting makes a real difference in metal forming applications. When a press or forming machine hits resistance, a pump without torque control will either stall the prime mover or spike pressure in ways that wear things out fast. With torque-limiting built into this pump, the system backs off load automatically before that happens, which keeps the drive motor from getting overworked and puts less stress on the hydraulic components overall. For repetitive cycle work like metal forming, that translates to longer service life across the whole system, not just the pump itself.
