Question by: Gary B on Mar 23, 2026, 8:24 AM
Flow rate on this one is listed at 40 liters per minute, is that enough for press applications, or do I need something with more capacity?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 25, 2026, 6:59 AM
For most press setups, 40 liters per minute is a reasonable working figure, and this valve is explicitly listed for press applications along with die casting, primary metal, and several other industrial uses. Whether that flow rate meets your specific system demand depends on your cylinder size and cycle speed, but the valve itself is built for that environment. If your press runs within that flow range, you're looking at a unit that was intended for exactly that kind of work.

What kinda applications does this valve work in? I see a few listed but wanna make sure I'm not missing something.

This Vickers directional control valve is made for applications like die casting, machine tools, marine stuff, presses, primary metal, paper, test equipment, and turbine control. It's pretty versatile.
