Vickers DG5V 8 S 3C E T M FW B 10

Description & Features

Designed for demanding industrial environments, the Vickers DG5V 8 S 3C E T M FW B 10 is a two-stage pilot-operated directional control valve capable of handling flow rates up to 700 litres per minute. It supports three- or four-way directional control configurations and mounts on industry-standard surfaces, making it straightforward to integrate into existing hydraulic circuits.

Buna-N seals provide reliable fluid compatibility across a broad range of applications, including die casting and foundry equipment, machine tools, presses, primary metal and paper processing machinery, marine and offshore installations, test and simulation equipment, and turbine control systems for wind, steam, and water applications. The breadth of available models within the DG5V-8 series allows this valve to be matched closely to specific flow, control, and mounting requirements across these industries.

Question by: Travis S on Nov 6, 2025, 9:20 PM
What kind of machinery does this valve usually go in? I'm thinkin' about usin' it on a new hydraulic press we're buildin'.

Real-world applications for this Vickers valve include presses, die casting and foundry equipment, machine tools, primary metal and paper processing machinery, marine and offshore installations, test and simulation equipment, and turbine control systems.
Question by: Roy M on Apr 9, 2025, 11:27 AM
flow rate on this thing goes up to 700 LPM, that enough for press and die casting work or is it typically used for lighter duty stuff?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 10, 2025, 4:57 PM
For press and die casting applications, 700 litres per minute is a solid ceiling. Those environments often demand high-flow directional control, and the DG5V-8 series was built with exactly that kind of work in mind. Die casting and foundry equipment are listed right alongside presses as intended applications, so you're not pushing this valve outside its intended use. The pilot-operated design also helps it handle those higher flow demands more reliably than a direct-acting valve would at that scale.
