flow rate on this one is listed at 300 litres per minute, that enough headroom for mid-to-high demand hydraulic circuits or is it more suited for lighter setups?

For mid-to-high flow pressure management, 300 litres per minute gives you solid capacity. It's not a light-duty valve by any stretch.
