Question by: Neil W on Nov 15, 2025, 1:19 PM
running a skid steer on this pump -- does the aluminum housing hold up alright or is it gonna be a weak point out in the field?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 16, 2025, 9:17 PM
Aluminum gets a bad rap sometimes, but on a mobile unit like this one, the housing is built to handle the structural demands without adding unnecessary weight. Keeping machine weight down matters on skid steers, and the aluminum does that job without giving up integrity. For the kind of duty cycles skid steer loaders see, it holds its own.

Will this pump hold up on my skid steer? We run them pretty hard out here.
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 3, 2025, 10:05 AM
Designed for mobile hydraulic applications, this Vickers PVE series pump should be a good fit. It's used in demanding equipment like skid steers and irrigation systems, so it ought to handle what you're throwing at it.
